Plessey Asia Pacific sold the Communications business to LongReach Group, a global designer, manufacturer, and supplier of communications equipment, services, and systems. I worked with Longreach as a Transmission consultant.
Achievement:
- Using Pathloss4 and Space Shuttle Radar Terrain Mission mapping data, completed network design studies for Santos Mining, Communication Authority of Thailand, Sri Lanka Navy, and Iran Projects and Oil & Gas pipeline microwave network design for Parco in Pakistan
- Managed Telstra type testing of the IR series radio
- Generated project plan for qualification process and implementation of software based radio
- Authored Telstra type approval documentation
- Arranged for all equipment shipments to Melbourne for proof of concept testing
- Authored and published the Installation and Operation Manual of IR Series Radio,
- Technology training to Sri Lankan Navy and Air Force
- Lao Telecom Company (LTC) phase 3 project:
- Developed project plan to delivery best configuration for Microwave links and coordination of LTC staff and specialist installation staff to install radio network in the most efficient time within budget
- Approved for all sub-contract and supplier purchase orders & invoices
- Completed Microwave link design using Pathloss4 and topographical mapping data, physical and logical design of LongReach radios, Omnitronics supervisory system and Rad OLT equipment in Telecommunications huts, physical and logical layout of remote solar Sites, DDF design & implementation and creation for Project BOM
